Hi, I’m Buttercup. I shoot weddings on film and I love to create funky collages.
Buttercup is a one woman show officially known as Kateřina ~ a Czech girl from south Moravia who loves to do all sorts of crafts and spending time outdoors.
Buttercup shoots exclusively on film. It means the good, slow, oldschool way of documenting your wedding day with pretty vintage cameras and classic film material.
There are several formats that can be mixed and matched to get your ideal analog combo:
Buttercup is an analog only service.
A classic film format with aspect ratio 2:3 that can beautifully cover your whole wedding day. With many different 35 mm films available, we can choose from various colour tones, contrasts and vibes exactly to your liking. This type of film works really well with both colour and black & white.
35 mm film
A funky twist on a classic 35 mm film. In this case, the usual frame is divided into two pictures that are later scanned together. With this format, you’ll get very playful images that can create a completely new narrative. Double amount of pictures from one film roll delivered in a fun package!
Half-frame
It certainly needs more time and preparation to create an image with a medium format camera, but it’s totally worth it. This format works the best for couple portraits and other “more staged“ photos that don’t have to be taken quickly.
